From seven years leading AI and machine learning innovation at GSK to regulated programmes in banking, pharmaceuticals and medical devices: sectors where data, systems and controls are watched by regulators.
Led the Data Science team at the GSK Innovation Centre for seven years. Tommy and his team delivered AI and machine learning projects targeting multi-billion-pound savings to GSK's bottom line.
Built the control design framework and control library behind a regulator (PRA) submission that let a major UK bank move its users to Office 365.
Designed the IT risk, control and assurance framework for a new bank's IT processes, which won an internal recognition award.
Led around 150 corrective and preventive actions and put in place a regional IS quality management system, with quality KPIs and MI reporting.
Built an IT function from scratch to support 1,800 employees across four sites, including a 24/7 manufacturing execution system producing over 300 million lenses a year.

Led by Tommy Dick.
Tommy founded L-Task in 2011 after senior IT leadership roles including Senior Director of IT Compliance and IT Director at Aptuit, and building and running IT at Bausch & Lomb. From 2017 to 2024 he led the Data Science team at the GSK Innovation Centre, delivering AI and machine learning innovation into GSK. Today he works as Head of Data and AI, bringing the same discipline around governance, quality and delivery to AI adoption.
